No respite for the brave, and at Le Village Pop the week will be rock'n'roll ! ...
We start with the first album of Ghost Woman ( Full Time Hobby , Boogie Drugstore ), a little nugget full of psychedelic rock, one of our little sins ... So, Ghost Woman, aka Evan John Uschenko, between krautrock, West Coast psychedelia and "Byrdsian" accointance, manages to find a way that only belongs to her by the magic of her talent ... What is striking here is the genuineness of a songwriting that never tries to attempt an orgasmic "coup de force" but rather to vary the proposals on the road to a glimpsed pleasure...
And if the fuzz is omnipresent, it's not a question of exhibiting it but really of making it the vector of a precious feeling ... As a result, the trip has gone by too fast this time ... Enjoy!
