Sur le pont des musiques majoritairement instrumentales depuis une trentaine d'années avec The Third Eye Fondation ou en solo assumé, ce musicien anglais résidant depuis un certain temps en France nous livre là un album d'un classicisme absolu sans que cela ne sente jamais le renfermé ni l'exercice de style ... La faute à ces compositions qui ne précipitent rien, et surtout pas leur fin, mais qui pour autant ne s'enferment jamais dans un quelconque schéma ... La faute à ces instruments dont on sent et pressent les moindres vibrations ... La faute enfin à cette voix, qui ne se prend jamais pour autre chose que ce qu'elle est, c'est à dire la respiration d'un être là conscient de sa pesanteur mais malgré tout en espérance d'autres voies à explorer ... Cet album a tout pour être crépusculaire, mais ce magnifique "Unresolved" qui clot le disque en est peut-être bien le climax ... Constat d'étape ou passage de témoin, la route choisira ... Enjoy !
