Ce musicien tunisien basé aujourd'hui à Bruxelles est arrivé sur la scène musicale il y a une vingtaine d'années en chantant en anglais avant de revenir ensuite majoritairement à l'arabe ... Et c'est un bonheur ... Musicalement, nous sommes là dans un syncrétisme folk totalement abouti, qui derrière une certaine retenue sait révéler à la lumière les sentiers aussi secrets que luxuriants reliant le soi à l'altérité ... Aidé en cela par la chanteuse Azza Mezghani, ces chansons impriment en nous à chaque nouvelle écoute des sensations évoquant autant la fragilité que la plénitude, et c'est troublant ... Dans le chaos généralisé présidant aux "affaires" humaines, on ne remerciera jamais assez les artistes réussissant à donner sens à notre destinée ... Sans le moindre tapage faussement contemporain, cet album tisse une toile de musicalité ausi relâchée que dense au coeur de nos errances et on est bien heureux de pouvoir s'y lover un moment ...
